Moving Week

The week of June 3rd was a milestone week for Research Solutions, as we moved into our brand new facility in Pelham, Alabama!

The 10 acre site was purchased in July of 2015 and conceptualization and planning of the new facility began in 2016. After a year of planning, we broke ground on March 13, 2017, and construction was completed in May of 2018. On June 2nd and 3rd several of our managers and the Pelham Operations staff worked through the weekend to transfer all branch inventory across the street to the new facility. The move was a huge success particularly when it came to planning and logistics. On June 4th, we began actual production and deliveries from the new Parker Drive facility!

Our executive staff, building crew, and Pelham Operations team did an amazing job of planning, strategizing, working out the logistics, and meeting regulations requirements and building permits for the new facility while maintaining daily branch operations and shipments. We celebrated together as a company with an early morning breakfast for our drivers and production crew, and a cookout luncheon for the office staff and production crew. Way to go team!
