Research Solutions Soon to Release Compliance Software

In an effort to provide fresh and practical solutions to the chemical industry in an ever-changing world of regulatory and environmental compliance, Research Solutions is thrilled to announce newly developed software that will meet the needs of compounding and blending companies. In a few short months, we will provide a new software solution that aligns with the requirements of OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) and the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).

These standards provide a common and coherent approach to classifying chemicals and communicating hazard information on labels and safety data sheets (SDS). They will promote workplace safety by providing understandable information on the handling and use of hazardous chemicals, and will reduce trade barriers for increased business productivity.

Research Solutions has responded to the void in the chemical industry for software that allows chemical manufacturers and compounder/blenders to efficiently produce HCS- and GHS-compliant SDS’s and labels for their products. With the new OSHA requirements set to become fully effective June 1, 2015, the launch of our new software will provide a simple way for companies to reach compliance by next year’s deadline.

We began designing and developing our HCS- and GHS-compliant, fully interactive software in 2013. We anticipate the market-ready software to be available in the summer of 2014.
