Home based in Birmingham (Pelham), AL

Summary/Objective

Your work responsibilities will include driving heavy duty trucks, trailers and tankers, planning out your routes, ensuring your truck, trailer or tanker are safe to operate, utilizing GPS and Electronic Drivers Log, loading and unloading trailers and tankers, handling shipping documents, ensuring your deliveries are on time and collecting payments as need. 

Duties and qualifications:

• Follow and remain in good standing with DOT regulations.

• Responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of materials.

• Responsible for the correct placarding.

• Complete and maintain the correct required paper work.

• Conduct Pre-trip and Post trip inspections daily.

• Must follow all company safety rules and procedures.

• Complete driver logs according to DOT regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned by operations manager or other members of management.

• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

• Must have a current CDL of appropriate class.

• Must have a working good knowledge of trucks and DOT regulations.

• Must have a good driving record.

• Must undergo compliance training classes and pass all written tests.

This position is performed in a company vehicle, over the road with possible long distances and overnight stay away from home.
